I was searching ebay, which is a dangerous things and I noticed a lot of MIB Mattel AG dolls with no accesory packs are going for much more then the ones that you can buy online. I mean it! I don't want to post links or anything, but what would be the purpose, if you can just order it from AG yourself and get the SAME exact one for about 30 dollars less?

Maybe people that live out of the country dont have to pay as much for shipping through ebay as they would through AG? Just a thought...

I was thinking that, but then I thought that the doll I saw was 100 MIB, bought last year at AGP! So you figure that is about 15 dollars over the price (it hasn't ended yet), plus shipping from ebay. Vs 87 from AG, plus shipping, even if it was international.
I just don't know.

Does AG ship internationally (outside of Canada), I suppose then it would make sense to me, maybe they can ONLY get it on ebay.

Don't forget the allure of seeing the ACTUAL doll before you buy it! That always annoyed me about the website, that you don't get to see YOUR doll before you buy it.

I've been confused too when I saw those auctions. But the seeing YOUR doll when buying explaination makes a lot of sense. Although I would be worried about not having the same customer service if anything were to go wrong.
As a side note, some dolls, like the Cabbage Patch dolls, which factory a doll came from makes a big difference on its value.

I think some people just don't know that they can buy AG dolls from a catalog or AG website. They think ebay is the only place to buy these dolls. I remember back in 2002 I was at a Sam's Club and saw some AG products and fell in love with them. I thought that was the only place to buy AG items (besides ebay). LOL.

I've wondered that too. After reading your post, I surfed upon a doll Mattel NIB going for well above retail. I clicked on the high bidder's feedback, and their location is United States. I want to email them and say, "Don't do this! That's too much money!" but that is sooooo against the rules. I guess kudos go to the seller, who is probably estatic. I hope he/she gets something really cool with the extra cash!

Don't forget that in some states their is tax and that could account for the difference.
